the map isn’t complete
there’s no final destination
go anyway
I am a therapist because...
I’m drawn to what it means to be human — to live, grow, struggle, and keep going despite uncertainty, doubt, and heartache. That’s what pulls me toward the big, layered questions:
how we change
what gives life meaning
what it looks like to live honestly in a world without easy answers
I’ve experienced my own seasons of confusion and feeling stuck — searching for something new. The change I’ve sought (and still seek) hasn’t come through quick fixes or certainty, but through honesty. That honesty about our motives, contradictions, and desires doesn’t come easily — but it opens the door to something different.
There’s no perfect map for this kind of work. But I’m continually moved by the courage it takes to show up, and it’s a privilege to be part of that process. It’s what keeps me committed to this work, day after day.
And it’s why I believe lasting change happens here — in the space where we can be honest, curious, and willing to see ourselves more fully.
license & credentials
I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the CACREP-accredited program at George Fox University and am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Kansas. Before becoming a therapist, I worked in both athletics and business—experiences that have strongly shaped my clinical work.
I am trained in depth-oriented and psychodynamically informed approaches, grounded in a talk-based, interpretive view of psychological change influenced by Lacanian theory. This means I work with the patterns and contradictions beneath the surface — the places where lasting change actually takes root.
